Last day in Gibraltar

All too soon our final day arrived, which was inevitable on a cheeky 4 day break.
During our morning walk I collected a few photos together to give a flavour of the colony.
The first thing to note is the mix of familiar British chains, classic British pub names and Continental corner shops and other stores.
We spotted everything from The Entertainer, Mothercare, ELC, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Burger King, M&S, Matalan, Morrisons to name but a few.

Looking up at the rock, which shows the openings used as gun battery (see blog about exploring the upper rock).

And back to the airport 🙁

Our plan arriving at the airport

Overall it was a wonderful time with temperatures soaring up to 19C despite the winds we had when we arrived.
